VoIP enables smooth migration

Datel Consulting have managed a project to re-locate the Canary Wharf Office of Thomas Telford, the commercial arm of the Institution of Civil Engineers to a new facility in the heart of Westminster.

A previous project, also managed by Datel, deployed a Cisco Call Manager unified communications platform across the ICE/Thomas Telford estate. The use of VoIP for telecommunications enabled the transition from one building to the next to be greatly simplified with the users simply unplugging their phones at the old site and plugging them in at the new one with minimal reconfiguration on the Call Manager.
